Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace Day Tour

Our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby at 8:00 AM, ready to start an exciting journey of exploration.
We will start with a 1.5-hour drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is known for its beautiful scenery and important historical significance, and has more watchtowers than other sections of the Great Wall. You will find 22 watchtowers on this 1.4-mile section of the Great Wall, with fortifications on both sides of the Great Wall. The unique inner and outer barriers, battlements, and battlements enable the defenders to shoot at attackers from both sides, highlighting the military strategic importance of the Great Wall. If you want an unobstructed panoramic view, taking a cable car to the highest point is a great choice (optional).
Before lunch, we will visit a jade carving factory, which takes 45 minutes. Here, you will appreciate the exquisite skills of jade carving and experience the local special craftsmanship, which perfectly combines Chinese craftsmanship with cultural traditions.

Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, after lunch, we will return to Beijing.

In the afternoon we will visit the Summer Palace, also known as the “Yiheyuan”. The Summer Palace was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 1998 and is known as “a masterpiece of Chinese garden design”. The natural landscape of mountains and open water complements the man-made landscape of pavilions, palaces, temples and bridges, forming a harmonious whole with extraordinary aesthetic value. You will have ample time to explore and immerse yourself in the charm of this historical site. After a day of amazing scenery and rich cultural experiences, we will drive you back to your hotel.
