Upon your arrival at the airport/train station in Guilin, the driver will meet and greet you at the exit, and then escort you to the well-selected hotel in downtown Guilin. And then you will have some free time to explore on your own. Taking a walk along the Binjiang Road and tasting the rice noodles are recommended activities for your leisure time.

Guilin is situated in South China, well linking by air and high speed rail. Guilin Liangjiang International Airport is 30km west of the Guilin downtown area and travelers can take flights to Guilin from Hong Kong (1.5 hours), Chengdu (1.5 hours), Shanghai (3 hours), Beijing (3 hours), Xian (2 hours), Chongqing (1.5 hours). Additionally, travelers can take the high speed train to Guilin from Guangzhou (2.5 hours), Shenzhen (3.5 hours), Chongqing (5 hours), Guiyang (2-3 hours), Kunming 4.5 hours), etc.

Along the 84-kilometer scenic cruise, you will feast your eyes with endless Chinese paintings of winding rivers, numerous green limestone karst peaks, grazing water buffalo, farmers working in the fertile fields, and idyllic villages nestled at the bases of the hills. After arriving in Yangshuo, the driver will pick you up from the dock and drive to your hotel in Yangshuo town for a short rest. Let all the picturesque scenes please your eyes and souls to the maximum for total relaxation. After breakfast, you’ll return to Guilin for further exploration. Start with a visit to Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin, where the hill resembles an elephant drinking from the river. Next, head to Reed Flute Cave, a stunning showcase of Guilin’s unique karst formations. The cave’s illuminated stalactites and stalagmites form shapes that resemble animals and plants, creating a dreamlike ambiance.

After the tour, you’ll be transferred to the airport or train station for your onward journey.

How do I book a China group tour?

Select your travel dates and click “join-in a tour”. You will get free enquiry and don’t need to pay immediately. After sending us your requirements, one of our professional travel experts will get back to you within 0.5 to 24 hours and we guarantee to reserve a place for you first. When all the information have confirmed, then you make the payment. Please feel free to contact the travel expert directly if you have any questions prior to booking.

Deadline for Booking a Group Tour:

The deadline for receiving guests is tentatively 7 days before departure. For trips to Tibet and the Yangtze River Three Gorges, the deadline is extended to 15 days before departure.

Transportation

In a group tour, it means you will transfer to the tourist attractions in one city by coach. The maximum group size will be 12 people. It will be a small group size traveling at comfortable pace. The coach we selected is spacious and comfortable. As for traveling between two destinations, we use domestic flights (economy seat) or high speed trains (second class seat, usually less than 6 hours). The local drivers will pick you up at the airport/train stations, and escort you to the hotel.

Meals
“B” stands for breakfast. You will have it at your hotel in the morning.
‘L’ stands for lunch. The restaurants we arrange are designated tourist restaurants approved by the local tourism administration. They maintain good sanitary conditions, and your guide will assist you in ordering dishes.
‘D’ stands for dinner. Please refer to the detailed itinerary for each day. Dinners are usually excluded, giving you the chance to try authentic Chinese food and local snacks. However, if you take the Yangtze River cruise, dinners will be included onboard. Similarly, if you are on a group tour to Tibet, dinner will be included when visiting Mount Everest Base Camp (including Tibetan hot pot).
If you have special dietary requirements (vegetarian, halal, kosher, Indian, or gluten-free), please let us know before your booking. We will try our best to take care of you.
 
Regarding Children’s Fees:

(1) Occupying a bed: Children will be charged the adult rate. (2) Not occupying a bed: Children will be charged the group tour fee minus the single room difference. Any ticket discounts will be refunded.

Free Pick-up & Drop-off Service:

(1) Free pick-up is available for flights/trains arriving between 08:00 and 22:00.

(1) For arrival and departure transfers (1-2 persons): Early arrivals or late departures will incur an additional transfer fee.
(2) For flights arriving after 22:00 and departing before 09:00: An additional transfer fee will apply.
