There are many well-known attractions in the city, such as Kuanzhai Alley, Wuhou Temple, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, etc., which show the long history and unique cultural charm of Chengdu. In addition, Chengdu is known as the “Land of Abundance” and is famous for its food culture, especially the famous Sichuan cuisine and hot pot.

Visiting the city’s panda base can be challenging, as it is easily accessible and has a wide variety of animals. We have designed a clever route that allows you to avoid the crowds while aligning with the pandas’ active periods as much as possible.

Chengdu was named the first Asian Gastronomy Capital by UNESCO, and the local cuisine is rooted in the life of the market.
Try some local snacks such as pickled vegetables, preserved eggs, Chinese rice wine, and more.
Blend in with the locals: How to bargain like a local and how to make Chengdu dumplings – learn from the shop owners who can easily make 100 perfect dumplings in a few minutes.
If you wish, the chef can accompany you to the market to buy the ingredients needed to make Sichuan cuisine.

It is difficult to travel like a local when you are in a crowded tourist area surrounded by thousands of tourists. Instead, visiting a local chef’s home will be one of the best ways to experience local life.
Uncover the secrets of Sichuan cuisine by cooking three typical Sichuan dishes with the chef and inventing your own recipes. If you wish, you can also try playing Mahjong in the living room.
Finally, return to the hotel. Since this is a private tour, you can decide how long to stay in different areas according to your interests. The itinerary is flexible and for reference only.

- Any city not included in the existing tour package can be added to this tour and taken as an addition to this Private tour.
- Entering and exiting China from Hong Kong and Taipei are also available.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
Important information – SMALL GROUP TOUR
- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
