Travel Itinerary
When you arrive in Hohhot, your private driver and guide will be at your service. Enjoy a hassle-free transfer service to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore Hohhot.
Take a 2-hour drive to Xilamuren Grassland in the morning, visit Hongger Aobao Scenic Area, and watch large-scale live performances, including Mongolian horse racing, archery, wrestling, and other programs.
Horseback riding In the peaceful hinterland of Xilamuren, feel the vastness of the picturesque grassland on horseback.
Enjoy a Mongolian-style Zama Feast dinner. Overnight in a traditional yurt.
Enjoy the sunrise over the grassland, then visit a local herder’s home to experience milking, making Mongolian milk tea, feeding lambs, and talking with herders to learn about their lives on the grassland.
On the way from the grassland to Dalate Banner, visit Wudang Temple, one of the four most famous lamasery in Northwest China.
Overnight in Dalat Banner, Ordos City, where the Kubuqi Desert is located, so you can easily enter the desert in the morning and avoid the crowds.
The Resonant Sand Bay (sand dunes make loud sand sounds in the breeze) is China’s largest desert resort and a large and well-developed tourist destination for sightseeing, leisure and entertainment.
You will have a full day to enjoy various interesting desert activities in the desert. You can experience the fun of art and sports such as rhythmic gymnastics, aerobics, break dancing, beach volleyball, etc., or you can experience more challenging sports and activities such as desert exploration, aerial cableway, beach surfing, off-road cycling, etc.
In the morning, visit the urban area of Kangbashi (once known as the “largest ghost town in China”, now a prosperous and ultra-modern environment), and enjoy the pleasant city scenery of Ordos City.
Explore the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, an impressive monument built in his honor.
After your tour, your guide and driver will take you to Ordos Airport or Hohhot Airport for your departure.

- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
